Selkie Bass: Octave Pedal

Jamie van Dyke

Preis $2.99
Version 1.0
Release 2026-10-31
Play a note and the same note sounds an octave below it, and two octaves if you want. Selkie Bass is a monophonic octave pedal for acoustic or electric guitar that adds nothing to your round trip: every sample of the octave is made from the sample that came in, with nothing held back to look ahead. It's an AUv3 plugin for your host, and an app that runs on its own. AS A PLUGIN Put it on a guitar channel in AUM, Loopy Pro or any other AUv3 host. It tells the host it adds no latency, because it doesn't. ON ITS OWN Plug your guitar into an audio interface, open the app and play. It asks iOS for the shortest buffer the hardware will run, and shows you the round trip it got. With the built-in microphone and speaker it stays quiet until you plug headphones in, so it can't howl. WHAT IT DOES • One Down and Two Down, each with its own level, under your guitar at its own • Smooth: the octave is a clean tone that follows your playing, without the fizz of a flip-flop octaver • Steady on a bridge pickup, where the second harmonic is louder than the note • Follows bends • Low C to the top fret: drop tunings included • A gate you drag on the meter, so hum and hiss don't growl underneath • The note you're playing and how far it's off, big enough to read from where you stand • Dark and light looks that follow the system, or whichever you prefer • Help built in WHAT IT DOESN'T DO One note at a time: under a chord the octaves mostly duck out, and what's left isn't in tune. No octave up. No Mac version yet. There's no account, no network, no analytics and nothing stored. Terms of use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
