ThermVoltGe is a character-focused germanium distortion processor for iPhone and iPad. Use it as a standalone audio app or insert the included AUv3 effect in a compatible host such as GarageBand. Its nonlinear core is built around an OA91-style germanium-diode architecture. A low forward-voltage threshold, asymmetric conduction, temperature dependency, battery sag, and supply-voltage interaction create early compression and a soft, rounded clipping response.
